Documents to Bring Alongside Your International Driving License

At minimum, bring your valid passport, your home driver's license, and your international driving license. Add your rental confirmation, travel insurance details, and a copy of your itinerary, saved offline in case you lose signal.

Scan or photograph everything and email the copies to yourself before you leave. If your wallet or bag goes missing mid-trip, you'll still have access to what you need to sort things out.

Keep your license and international driving license together — the translation document only means anything when shown alongside the license it translates.
